With its release dating back to 2010 on last generation consoles, a follow up to Rockstar’s “Red Dead Redemption” has been anticipated for a long time now, but Rockstar have finally put all the rumours to rest. In a good way of course.
After a lot of speculation since Rockstar ominously changed their display picture to their logo with a red background, news has finally broken out.
The image that sparked off a lot of hype as it was uploaded.
The game developers announced earlier today (18th October) on their Facebook page that a follow up, simply titled “Red Dead Redemption 2” would be making its release next fall (that’s autumn to everyone in the UK), followed with a teaser image and details on a trailer showing.
“Red Dead Redemption 2 will release worldwide in Fall 2017 on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One systems.
An epic tale of life in America’s unforgiving heartland, the game’s vast and atmospheric world will also provide the foundation for a brand new online multiplayer experience.
Watch the Red Dead Redemption 2 Trailer at 11AM Eastern on Thursday, October 20th here on Facebook, at rockstargames.com, as well at the official Rockstar Games YouTube and Twitch pages.
There has been no word of any PC release yet which comes as a disappointment to some, but knowing how Rockstar handle their PC releases then it is sure to come shortly after the games console release.
