Star Wars Battlefront going free on Xbox One
12th October 2016

If you were planning on getting yourself a copy of last year’s Star Wars online shooter or maybe just didn’t want to waste your money due to the negative feedback the game received, then it will be worth just sticking out a little longer since you won’t have to bother paying for it before long.

EA has announced that the game is headed for the EA Access Vault later this year for those on the Xbox One console.

If you’re not familiar with The Vault, the best way to put it is that it’s the “free stuff” part of EA Access. It includes an ever expanding selection of games that come gratis with your subscription, all playable in full as long as you remain an active member.

It hasn’t been announced if EA will include the DLCs with the game at all, which considering their individual price would be a massive saving if they did. However, with the base game being free and you enjoy it then it might be worth the investment.

Other games such as “Mirror’s Edge Catalyst” and “EA Sports UFC 2” are also headed to The Vault by the end of 2016.
